Liverpool Transfer News: Latest on Anwar El Ghazi and Leandro Paredes Rumours
Liverpool face a battle for Ajax attacker Anwar El Ghazi and AS Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes as manager Jurgen Klopp considers his options before the start of the Premier League.
Italy newspaper Il Tempo (h/t Kristian Walsh of the Liverpool Echo) reported Netherlands international El Ghazi is also the subject of interest from Premier League champions Leicester City, as the Reds plot a move.
Lazio and Wolfsburg also want the 21-year-old, who netted 11 times in the Eredivisie last season. The player could be available for £15 million as he decides his immediate future.

Italian outlet Mediaset Premium (h/t James Benson of the Daily Star) said the Foxes will also challenge for the signature of Paredes, with the Roma starlet commanding an £18.9 million fee.
El Ghazi has thrived in Amsterdam since graduating through his club's youth system and making his international debut in 2014—and would strengthen Klopp's right-sided attack if he arrives on Merseyside.
The player offers strong wing play, dribbling at defenders and providing strong service for the striker with his crossing.
Here is the player in action:
Argentinian talent Paredes exploded on to the scene in Italy last year during an impressive loan spell at Empoli, triggering interest around the globe.
The 22-year-old is widely regarded as a supreme talent, but as Gianluca Di Marzio noted, Roma are looking at Bologna's Amadou Diawara, who is even more highly rated, and that could lead to a sale:
Paredes started his career at Boca Juniors and moved to Italy on a loan deal with Chievo Verona in January 2014. He then switched to Roma on a short-term basis at the start of the following campaign before joining permanently ahead of the 2015/16 season.
The central midfielder played 33 times in Serie A for Empoli last term, according to WhoScored.com, scoring twice.
Both players are prodigious individuals and would add energy to Liverpool's squad. However, they would need time to acclimatise to the Premier League and would offer Klopp little in the early stages of the new campaign.
Daniele De Rossi and Radja Nainggolan stand in Paredes' way at Roma, and the player might stagnate on the bench, triggering a swift departure from his club.

El Ghazi could be a replacement for Lazar Markovic at Anfield, according to Il Tempo (h/t the Daily Star's Jamie Styles). However, Lazio view the Dutchman as their "dream" replacement for Antonio Candreva, who has left for Inter Milan.
Klopp needs fresh troops in his army, but there is a question mark over the quality available to the German at present.
El Ghazi and Paredes could develop into top-flight players in England, but neither is the type of signing who will drive Liverpool back into the top four immediately.
