Olympic 2016 Results: Tracking Medal Count for Each Country on Thursday

Andy BaileyAug 11, 2016

Katie Ledecky is quickly becoming the star of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

She's had four shots at gold in Rio and secured her third win on Wednesday. With the 200-meter, 400-meter and 4x200-meter races behind her, she now sets her sights on 800-meter freestyle heats.

Finals that will take place on Thursday include the women's individual all-around in gymnastics, as well as the women's 100-meter freestyle and men's 200-meter individual medley in swimming.

Women's Individual All-Around Winner to be Crowned in Gymnastics

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - AUGUST 9: Simone Biles of USA competes in the Artistic Gymnastics women's team final on day 4 of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games at Rio Olympic Arena on August 9, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. (Photo by Jean Catuffe/Getty Images)

Simone Biles and Aly Raisman, fresh off winning gold in the team competition, will be opponents in the individual event.

"I go into [the all-around] knowing that Biles will win," said Raisman, per USA Today's Nancy Armour. “Just because she wins every single competition."

Raisman's confidence in her teammate is well placed, considering she trailed Biles in qualifying by two points in an event that is often decided by tenths of a point.

But that doesn't mean Raisman will finish today's event empty-handed. She's the odds-on favorite to grab the silver.

More Gold for Michael Phelps?

Age does not appear to be an issue for the once-retired Phelps, who continues to dominate every event he's in. He posted the best time in the 200-meter individual medley and now has a chance at his fourth gold of these games and 22nd of his career.

A familiar foe will be in his way for this one, as Lochte posted the best time in heats and the second-best time in the semis.

Lochte said, per NBC's Rachel Lutz

"

The history him and I have had with one another is something special and something I’ve never had with another competitor of mine. We’ve been racing for the last 12 years and having one more battle tomorrow. It will be fun. I consider that [Michael] and I have probably grown closer together as friends this year than we have in the past. We have one more time to hop in the pool and duke it out.

"

Katie Ledecky Continues to Dominate

Ledecky's anchor leg of the women's 4x200-meter relay was something to behold. She made up nearly three seconds to secure the win, per ESPN Stats & Info:

NBC shared footage of the remarkable comeback on Instagram:

Ledecky will be back in the pool for heats in the 800-meter freestyle.
