Michael Sam Involved in NSFW Verbal Altercation in West Hollywood

Former St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys defensive end Michael Sam was involved in a verbal confrontation with a man outside of a West Hollywood, California, nightclub Tuesday night. 

As seen in this video, courtesy of TMZ Sports, the ex-Missouri standout seemingly threatened to get physical with the man (warning: some language in video NSFW):

The 26-year-old Sam was the first openly gay player selected in the NFL draft when the Rams took him with the No. 249 overall pick in the seventh round in 2014.

Sam was cut by the Rams prior to the regular season and spent time on the Cowboys' practice squad before the team released him.

The 2013 SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year had a short stint with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes in 2015 that saw him appear in only one game. He has not competed in a professional football game since.
