The Europa League winners then went ahead on 72 minutes when Sergio Ramos committed a foul in the box and Yevhen Konoplyanka rolled the ball into the net.

Sevilla appeared to be heading for victory, until Lucas Vazquez found Ramos unmarked in the area, and the Spaniard atoned for his earlier misdemeanour by heading home a late equaliser.

It looked like penalties were imminent, until Dani Carvajal picked the ball up near the halfway line and drove his way into the box, before placing an exquisite finish past Sergio Rico.
