The United States picked up two gold medals at the Olympic Aquatics Center during Day 2 of swimming action at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Katie Ledecky delivered as promised in the women's 400-meter freestyle event, beating her own world record, and then Michael Phelps and Nathan Adrian led the U.S. team to gold in a hard-fought men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
The other gold medalists on Sunday were Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden in the women's 100-meter butterfly and Adam Peaty of Great Britain, who also set a world record in the men's 100-meter breaststroke.
