The Olympic Cauldron Is Lit in Both the Games and B/R's Reimagination
The 2016 Rio Games have officially begun.
With the lighting of the Olympic cauldron, Vanderlei de Lima, a Brazilian former long-distance runner, concluded the evening's opening ceremony but ushered in the start of competition.
For B/R, it began with the Chariots of Fire—both the film and score.
Charging across the sand they ran, taking part in the Olympic torch relay and passing along its prestigious honor.
In an alternate world, imagined with memorable on-screen characters in mind, the likes of Forrest Gump and Jerry Seinfeld were more than up to the task.
Through time, settings and even dimensions, the torch was sent until the flame was lit...eventually.
Perhaps the role of "Lightning" Larry Luciano should be reconsidered.
