Before the 2016 Rio Games can officially begin, the Olympic torch must be relayed.

The Australian Olympic team, however, has already passed one of its own.

Patterned onto the inside of every competing athlete's blazer are the names of all of the nation's past gold medalists—a tribute to those before and no doubt motivation for many ahead.

Perhaps some will be stitching their own place in history soon.
