Big E Appears at SummerSlam
Sunday, Aug. 21

The match would ultimately end in a disqualification due to Big E's actions, but The New Day retained the WWE tag team title.
Latest on Big E's Injury
Friday, Aug. 5
The WWE didn't disclose the specific body part Big E injured during Raw, but the company reported he suffered a contusion to the affected area.
Big E Injury Didn't Impact Tag Team Title Picture
Big E's injury did not hasten the end of The New Day's record-breaking tag title reign. Big E is the group's muscle, and removing him from the mix left the champions vulnerable.
Taking the tag titles would have been a nice way to legitimize Gallows and Anderson. Especially with AJ Styles on SmackDown Live, the two seem to be treading water somewhat, with many expecting Finn Balor to replace Styles as the third man in The Club.
Until that happens—if it ever does—ending The New Day's time atop the tag division continues with the help of Big E.
