Liverpool Transfer News: Latest on Anderson Talisca and Mamadou Sakho Rumours
Liverpool will reportedly lose out to Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in their pursuit of Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca this summer. Elsewhere, AS Roma are hoping to sign Mamadou Sakho on loan.
According to the Daily Mail's Simon Jones, Wolves are closing in on a move for the Brazilian after appointing former Italy goalkeeper Walter Zenga as their new manager, who stepped in as Kenny Jackett's successor.

The second-tier club was recently taken over by Chinese group Fosun International, who are supposedly prepared to pay the £18 million needed in order to take Talisca to the Molineux.
Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes recently reported wages were the only factor left in the deal yet to be agreed, suggesting the steep transfer sum was no longer an issue for Wolves:
Jones mentioned Liverpool in his report as one of the Premier League clubs hoping to sign Talisca, who started in 15 of his 34 appearances for Benfica last season and scored nine goals.
It's believed agent Jorge Mendes could help broker the deal after Wolves also recruited Helder Costa on loan from Benfica, although South American researcher Paulo Freitas reported the Premier League is Talisca's preferred destination:
It would be a major coup for Wolves if they did manage to lure Talisca to England's second tier, although the club would risk a major fallout if their recruit didn't come upon swift success in the Championship.
Meanwhile, Roma are reportedly looking to sign Sakho on loan after centre-back Mario Rui suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, per Italian daily Corriere dello Sport (h/t Football Italia).

According to the report, Giallorossi manager Luciano Spalletti is "desperate" to find a stand-in for the Portuguese defender before his side's UEFA Champions League play-off in August.
Sakho's future was put in doubt after his attitude led manager Jurgen Klopp to send the player home from the club's pre-season tour, per the Liverpool Echo's Joe Rimmer, and the German explained his decision to Sky Sports:
The French defender has long been one of the more outspoken members of the Liverpool squad, but with central defenders Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan arriving this summer, he could be seen as expendable.
Given their situation, Roma may be happy to take the centre-back off Liverpool's hands should they wish, but the question is whether Klopp is willing to let his player leave.
