Phil Mickelson Hits Tee Shot at PGA Championship onto Nearby Road

Phil Mickelson could not have gotten off to a much worse start to the second round of the 2016 PGA Championship.

After shooting a 71 on Thursday, Mickelson's opening tee shot on Friday put him in a hole. Actually, it put him on a neighboring road. But you get the point.

Yeah, not the way Lefty wanted to start the day.

Mickelson eventually recorded a triple bogey on the hole:

That rough start put him around the projected cut line. Fortunately for Mickelson, however, he rebounded from his triple bogey to post a one-under score over the next four holes.
