Charles Wiley Arrested: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction on Ole Miss DE

Ole Miss Rebels defensive end Charles Wiley was arrested Monday on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, according to HottyToddy.com's Collin Brister.

The Clarion-Ledger's Daniel Paulling also reported news of the incident. According to Brister, a woman was also arrested on the same charge. 

"We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities responsible for the matter,” head coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement, per Brister. "Charles is being withheld from all team activities while the process moves forward. We take incidents like this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of actions is complete."

A true freshman who played his high school ball at Stockbridge High School in Georgia, Wiley was a 4-star recruit and the 274th-ranked player overall in 247Sports' composite rankings for the Class of 2016. 

Wiley was also the 20th-ranked weak-side defensive end and the 25th-ranked player in the state of Georgia in his class. 

He committed to the Rebels in March 2015, and he officially enrolled at the school on January 21.
