
Former NFL, Texas A&M DL Mark Wheeler Arrested: Details, Mugshot and Comments
Retired NFL defensive lineman Mark Wheeler, who played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies, was arrested Monday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Associated Press (via TheEagle.com) reported he was being held at the Brazos County jail in Texas, citing the jail's records as the source of the information.

Texas A&M police arrested Wheeler, 46, in a campus parking lot in response to reports about a suspicious person in a truck. An arrest report indicated the police searched Wheeler's vehicle and found cocaine and marijuana.
Wheeler's bond is set at $10,200, per the AP.
After noticing his play with the Aggies, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Wheeler in the third round of the 1992 NFL draft. He played for Tampa Bay from 1992 through 1995.
Wheeler spent the next three seasons with the New England Patriots and was a starter in the trenches for the Pats team that participated in Super Bowl XXXI. He finished his career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999 and totaled 217 tackles and 16 sacks over the course of eight seasons.
