Charlotte, Dana Brooke vs Sasha Banks, Bayley: WWE Battleground Winner, Reaction

Bayley made her long-awaited debut in WWE and helped Sasha Banks pick up a win over Charlotte and Dana Brooke on Sunday at Battleground 2016.

Sasha had waited until the pay-per-view to unveil with whom she'd be tagging, and when Bayley's music hit, the crowd inside the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., exploded.

Sasha sealed the victory after locking Charlotte in the Bank Statement. She and her former NXT rival shared a celebratory hug following the match, which WWE shared on Twitter:

Bayley's arrival was a surprise since neither Raw nor SmackDown Live selected her during Tuesday's live draft. The shows instead called up Nia Jax (Raw), Alexa Bliss (SmackDown) and Carmella (SmackDown) from NXT. The Battleground announcers revealed, however, that Bayley's appearance was more of a one-off rather than an indicator she will be making the move permanently to the main roster.

Bayley is bound to feature on Raw or SmackDown Live sooner or later, but it won't be until further down the road.

The Battleground match likely set the stage for a singles clash between Sasha and Charlotte at SummerSlam. The two put on some great matches in NXT, but they've yet to face off one-on-one at a pay-per-view since moving to WWE.

Sunday's tag team match was a nice way to continue their feud without taking the spotlight off SummerSlam, which remains one of the company's biggest events of the year.
