Will Grigg Makes Top 25 for Best Player in Europe Award, Level with Paul Pogba
Will Grigg's meteoric rise to fame got another boost on Monday, when he was named in the top 25 for the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award.
The list was compiled using the votes of journalists from each of UEFA's 55 member associations. Each voter provided five picks, with the top choice carrying five points, the second choice four points and so on.
The Wigan Athletic and Northern Ireland striker, whose goalscoring exploits last season led to the viral fan chant "Will Grigg's on Fire," earned enough points in the vote to place him joint 25th in the shortlist, alongside Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba.
