Angry Thomas Pieters Snaps His Club, Throws It in Bushes at The Open

Professional athletes do their best to stay composed, but sometimes they need to let their frustrations out.

Thomas Pieters reached that tipping point Sunday.

During the final round of The Open Championship, the 24-year-old struggled mightily on the par-four 11th hole. It took him seven shots to reach the green, and when he finally did, he vented by snapping his club and throwing it into some nearby bushes.

Or as Happy Gilmore might say, he was just testing its durability and then placed it in the woods so it could be with its family.

Pieters wound up posting a nine on the hole, finishing with a 72 for Sunday that put him two over for the tournament.
