Manchester United Transfer News: Latest James Rodriguez, Marcos Rojo Rumours
Real Madrid star James Rodriguez is once again being linked with a move to Manchester United, with the latest reports saying the Colombian is “tempted” by the idea of a Premier League switch. Meanwhile, Villarreal are reportedly eyeing Marcos Rojo, who has been told to find a new club.
According to Marca's Jose Felix Diaz (via Joseph Sexton), United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and even West Ham United have all expressed an interest in Rodriguez, but none of those clubs have yet to make an offer of €80 million (roughly £67 million), the fee Real are holding out for.
Per the report, Rodriguez wasn't considering an exit until recently, but fears over his role in the 2016-17 campaign could push him out of the door:

"James is understandably unsure as to whether he can force his way back in to manager Zinedine Zidane's plans and was disappointed not to see action for a single minute in the Champions League final as Madrid claimed their Undecima European title.
Having plenty of time to muse over his future, Rodriguez enters pre-season following a fine showing for his national side at the Copa America Centenario and would surely relish figuring in a team where he could feel of similar importance, something that may be hard to envisage at his current club.
"
The 2014 FIFA World Cup hero flourished in his first year in the Spanish capital but came crashing down to earth last season, and Real manager Zinedine Zidane preferred to use other options, casting doubts over the Colombian's long-term future.

Rodriguez remains a special talent, something he showed during the recent Copa America Centenario, and if Los Blancos do decide to sell him, he would likely bring in a huge fee president Florentino Perez could use to strengthen his side in other areas.
The 25-year-old is capable of incredible things when in form, as you can see in the video below, and perhaps all he needs to make good on his immense potential is a fresh start.
Rodriguez can play in a central role or out wide, and should he move to Old Trafford, he would add to what already looks like a fearsome attacking team. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to be the Red Devils' main striker, Rodriguez could line up behind him, moving Henrikh Mkhitaryan to his preferred right wing.
Mkhitaryan can also play in the centre, as he did for the bulk of his 45 minutes on the pitch during the 2-0 friendly win over Wigan Athletic on Saturday. Following the arrival of the former Borussia Dortmund star, however, one has to wonder whether United need to spend more than £60 million on another attacking midfielder.
Rodriguez is the kind of talent who transcends needs, however, and given United's huge financial reserves, this may be a transfer worth pursuing.

Meanwhile, Marca (h/t the Daily Star's Jonathan Green) also reported Villarreal are eyeing Rojo as a replacement for Eric Bailly, who left the Yellow Submarine for United earlier this summer. Manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly informed the Argentinian his services are no longer needed and is looking for a fee close to £10 million.
The left-footed Rojo, who can also play as a left-back, has been a disappointment at Old Trafford since his move after the 2014 World Cup, and following the arrival of Bailly, few doubt he could be on his way out.
While his versatility is an asset, it also adds value on the transfer market, although Marca doubted whether Villarreal would be willing to pay close to £10 million for the defender.
MailOnline's Simon Jones reported a loan move is also a possibility, although it's hard to see United sacrifice depth if they don't receive a substantial transfer fee in return.
