5 Celebrities Who Need Sneaker Deals

Giancarlo Ferrari-KingJul 19, 2016

The involvement of celebrity culture in the world of sneakers has hit a critical juncture. With every flicker of the news, another report emerges about a TMZ muse procuring a shoe deal.

With hip-hop mogul Future set to take on a deal with Reebok, per Brandon Richard of SoleCollector.com, the timing was perfect. Why not drop a quick list about five other celebrities who need sneaker contracts?

We roamed across the world of entertainment and selected five names worthy of this honor. Rather than focus solely on the individual and reasons why they'd make for a good choice, we also picked an ideal brand for each name on this list.

Honing in on influence, previous fashion and sneaker connections, the following names came to mind.

Chance the Rapper

1 of 5

Chance the Rapper has soared to the top of music thanks to his charismatic style. Fresh off the success of his latest mixtape, Coloring Book, Chance was given the opportunity to put on a special performance at the 2016 ESPYs, paying his respects to Muhammad Ali.

The Chicago-bred MC seems like a logical choice for a sneaker deal. His style, connections to sports and linkage with Kanye West and Drake—two heavy hitters in the footwear industry—makes Chance a surefire solution to continuing sneaker's robust history with the music world.

It would be ideal to follow in the footsteps of West—another Chicago superstar—and go with Adidas as his leaping-off point.

Ideal Brand: Adidas

Jonah Hill

2 of 5

You're telling me Jonah Hill deserves his own sneaker? Say it ain't so

The actor has gracefully transitioned into the sneaker world, helping push legendary skate brand Palace's collaboration with Reebok (warning, content in video may be deemed NSFW).

Although Hill seems intentionally out of place, the ad was a superb marketing concept. It makes you appreciate what he's doing for the sneaker game and makes you realize a Hill collaboration with Reebok or even Palace might work in the skate realm of things.

Ideal Brand: Reebok

Kim Kardashian West

3 of 5

The queen of Kanye West's sneaker kingdom, Kim Kardashian West, also happens to be a logical choice to enter the shoe game herself.

Kardashian is a social media magnet and global star. Her 46.8 million Twitter followers and 77.4 million supporters on Instagram showcase the general scope and reach she has with the public. You'd think based on her popularity and West's burgeoning sneaker empire, Kim would have produced a unique sneaker collection.

No one knows what's next for the Kardashian brand. But the possibility of us seeing Kim's signature shoe does sound enticing.

Ideal Brand: Adidas

Justin Bieber

4 of 5

Justin Bieber has continued to make the transformation from pop singer to fashion standout. His sneaker game has matured also, sporting classic Vans, Adidas NMD cuts and other popular silhouettes.

Giving Bieber his own signature shoe is bound to rub people the wrong way. No matter the perception you have of him, he still commands media attention and has even worked with upscale fashion labels like Fear of God on tour merchandise.

It's a natural progression to pair Bieber with a low-top, skate-inspired cut. The only question left to ponder is what brand will step up and give him a shot?

Ideal Brand: Vans

Wale

5 of 5

Wale has set the bar remarkably high when it comes to the ever-growing world of celebrity sneakerheads. His collection is plentiful, using a variety of different brands and looks to get to the forefront of kicks.

Instagram has been the perfect visual art gallery for Wale's collection. There you can see the true density of his habit.

Though not as popular as the other names on this list, Wale deserves his own shoe or collaboration because above anyone else, he would create something magical. Using inspiration from his own style, the shoe itself would have to feature flashy colors, a tight fit and would need to push boundaries based solely on design.

There's one company that could properly facilitate this type of shoe. That company goes by the name of Nike.

Ideal Brand: Nike
