Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Paul Pogba and Toni Kroos Rumours
Paul Pogba reportedly wants to move to Manchester United, but the Red Devils have yet to reach an agreement with Juventus, while Real Madrid's Toni Kroos is seen as an alternative option to the Frenchman.
According to Marca (via Sport Witness), Pogba has agreed terms with United on a five-year deal worth €13 million (£10.8 million) per year, and, contrary to previous claims, his agent, Mino Raiola, will take no fee should his client make the switch to Old Trafford—although he does own 20 per cent of the player's registration rights.
It seems that a fee is all that now needs to be agreed with Juve, as Marca suggested a potential price of €120 million (£100.1 million)—which would see Raiola pocket a €24 million (£20 million) share.

Raiola recently indicated that Pogba is in no rush to leave Juve, nor does the Old Lady want to see him depart, per Sky Italia (via Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol):
While the 23-year-old himself may have changed his mind and be leaning towards a return to Old Trafford, Juve want to keep him for a further season, per Marca.
Despite his already world-class status, Pogba is still on the rise, and his value is unlikely to drop if Juventus do not sell him this summer.
Indeed, it could even increase further, per GianlucaDiMarzio.com's David Amoyal:
This leaves United in a potentially difficult bargaining position. They have the money to splash out a huge fee on their former player now, but if Juve do not want to sell this summer—and unless Pogba forces a move—they likely won't be persuaded into it.
New United manager Jose Mourinho has already made three big signings this summer—centre-back Eric Bailly, playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic—and Pogba is clearly his next, and biggest, target.
Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe has examined where Pogba may fit into the Portuguese manager's system:
Central midfield at United is currently very weak, with 34-year-old Michael Carrick still the most reliable option.
The addition of Pogba would go a long way to solving United's central issues, but if Juve refuse to sell, then Mourinho will have to look elsewhere.
And, per Calciomercato, Kroos is United's alternate target. The Real Madrid man had an excellent Euro 2016 with the German national team, proving just how effective he can be from the middle of the park, per tactics expert Michael Cox:
The 26-year-old would be an ideal addition to Mourinho's United squad given his ability to control games, and he would likely come much cheaper than Pogba, with the Sun's Daniel Cutts indicating a fee of £60 million could be enough.
The former Bayern Munich man would likely need some persuading to move to Old Trafford given that they will not be in the Champions League next season.
However, the attraction of working under Mourinho could be enough if Kroos can be convinced of United's ambitions.
