Wil Myers Takes a Pitch to the Ribs During Home Run Derby

Wil Myers called on his brother, Beau Myers, to be his pitcher in the 2016 Home Run Derby at Petco Park.

Little did he know that decision would come back to bite him. Or hit him in the ribs, rather. Like a bad pitch.

The San Diego Padres slugger took a ball to the torso during his opening-round loss to Cincinnati Reds outfielder Adam Duvall on Monday.

Of course, it was an accident. Beau got back on track after, continuing to deal his brother enough solid pitches to get him to 10 homers—it  ended up being just one short of the semifinal round.
