Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest on Paul Pogba and Alvaro Morata
Real Madrid's pursuit of Paul Pogba has come to an end after the Spanish giants withdrew their interest in the France playmaker, per Andy Burton of Sky Sports News HQ.
Financial implications have affected the decision to continue their hunt for the Juventus midfielder after Real were priced out of the deal due to Manchester United's considerable interest.
The 23-year-old ended the UEFA Euro 2016 final on the losing side on Sunday following the 1-0 extra-time defeat to Portugal at the Stade de France.

Pogba has provided little evidence of any desire to leave the Juventus Stadium for Madrid as of yet, but Real boss Zinedine Zidane has voiced his interest in his compatriot on multiple occasions.
Per Tom Webber of Goal, Zidane told a press conference in June: "He is a great player, every team would want to have him. But he is a Juventus player and we have to respect that."
The former Manchester United player has also been linked with a return to Old Trafford this summer, with Burton claiming Jose Mourinho's side are preparing to offer a world-record starting figure of £85 million for his services.
Bound with pace, agility, dynamism and goals, Pogba is one of the most complete players in world football and arguably the world's most sought-after youngster.
OptaJoe provided the statistics that show how Pogba influenced France's ball retention at the Euros:
Following four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia triumphs with Juve, Pogba has proved himself to be a global superstar and could soon make a shock return to the Premier League.
However, per Jack Gaughan of MailOnline, Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, stated on Monday that his client will be remaining in Turin:
"There is a lot of talk about Paul’s future, but maybe he will not leave Juventus.
He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract.
Paul is not desperate to move. We are very happy at Juventus and they are a club that want to keep their star players.
Juventus have treated Paul exceptionally well. They are a fantastic club and they believe in him.
"
Alex Shaw of ESPN was unimpressed with Pogba's performance in the European Championship final and believes the suggested transfer fee could weigh heavy on his shoulders:
Elsewhere, Real have swatted away Arsenal's move for centre-forward Alvaro Morata after deciding to keep hold of the Spain international, per Marca (h/t James Whaling of the Daily Mirror).
The Spanish newspaper claimed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez no longer wants to sell on the 23-year-old attacker after activating his buyback clause of £25 million in June.

Per Marca, the UEFA Champions League holders will reject offers from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in order to provide competition to Karim Benzema at the head of Los Blancos attack.
According to WhoScored.com, Morata scored seven goals in the league last term to help Juve lift a historic fifth Scudetto title. Under Zidane, the Spaniard will now have to prove himself again after failing to cement his place in the first team at the Santiago Bernabeu during his previous spell in the capital.
