Barcelona Transfer News: Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco Targeted, Latest Rumours
Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Atletico Madrid's Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco as another potential attacking target to bolster their forward line.
According to Cadena SER (via Sport), Blaugrana manager Luis Enrique "is a particular admirer" of the 22-year-old Belgium international, who could cost up to €40 million (£34.2 million).
The report added that Carrasco only moved to Atleti from AS Monaco last season for €17 million (£14.6 million), and the French outfit are entitled to 25 per cent of any sell-on fee while he is contracted at the Vicente Calderon until 2020.

Barcelona are searching for a player who can provide cover for their first-choice front three of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, and Atleti players have been high on their list of targets, with Luciano Vietto and Angel Correa also linked to the La Liga champions, per the Mirror's Ed Malyon:
Per Bleacher Report's Dean Jones, Nolito was a key target previously, but he has now moved to Manchester City from Celta Vigo:
Carrasco would be an ideal candidate, not least because he is versatile—able to play on either flank and through the middle.
He became a key player for Atleti manager Diego Simeone last season, making 29 league appearances—scoring four times and providing one assist—and coming off the bench to net the equaliser in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, per WhoScored.com.
He also played a big role at Euro 2016 for Belgium before Wales knocked them out at the quarter-final stage, appearing in all five of their matches and scoring against Hungary.
Barcelona need added depth in attacking areas. Messi, Suarez and Neymar are one of the most devastating attacking trios of all time, but the amount of football they play cannot be good for their longevity.
The Times' Gabriele Marcotti recently compared their playing time to other players at Europe's major clubs:
Bringing in Carrasco would allow Enrique to rotate more and allow more rest time for his key players, while the Belgian has the potential to become a world-class player himself.
The fee may be an issue for Barca, but if they can work out a reasonable price with Atleti, then Carrasco would be an excellent addition to the squad at the Camp Nou.
