Manchester United Transfer News: Red Devils Legend Fuels Paul Pogba Rumours
Manchester United legend Paddy Crerand has hinted Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will be on his way back to Old Trafford after Jose Mourinho confirmed his intentions in the current transfer window.
Mourinho was presented to the press as the new Red Devils boss on Tuesday and admitted he wants to bring in four players before the start of the new season, as reported by James Kilpatrick of Sky Sports.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly have already signed on at Old Trafford, with the capture of Borussia Dortmund ace Henrikh Mkhitaryan expected to be confirmed by United in due course, per Kilpatrick.

The self-proclaimed Special One refused to hint at the name of his fourth target, who he said will be confirmed before the end of the current window.
However, MUTV presenter Crerand dropped a huge hint as to the identity of the additional target, proclaiming he has previously represented the north-west giants, according to Metro's Sean Kearns.
United blogger Stephen Howson of Full Time DEVILS shared the footage of Crerand's hint and passed comment on the Old Trafford legend's words:
"Paddy Crerand might as well have said Paul Pogba is the 4th! pic.twitter.com/26fw0V2dkr

Pogba left United under a cloud in 2012 after failing to break into Sir Alex Ferguson's side from the youth ranks at Carrington.
However, the France ace has developed into one of the great talents in world football, and he would fit United's desire to add a box-to-box midfielder of the highest calibre.
Pogba accumulated nine goals and 14 assists from his central role in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League in 2015-16, according to WhoScored.com. Juventus strolled to the Italian league title once again—the fourth-successive time Pogba has won Serie A.
The player has nothing left to prove in Italy and will surely seek a new challenge in England or Spain. Here is a video of the Octopus in action:
Mourinho spoke candidly about the rebuilding project at United on Tuesday and admitted he will splash the cash, per Kilpatrick:
"We made a nucleus of four positions as priority to give a certain balance to the squad, and a push in terms of quality that I want.
[...]
As you know, especially the ones with more vision, I am a manager that likes specialists, not multi-functional players.
I am clear with my approach and model of player. I like one or two multi-functional players. You always need someone that can give you a hand.
From these targets we have three, until we have the fourth we are working hard on that, with Mr Woodward and the owners. When we have them we will breathe, we will be stable, and the market will still be open.
"

Mourinho has always desired the best additions possible when he has started new coaching roles and that mandate is likely to remain during his latest tenure.
United fans were robbed of seeing Pogba in a United shirt as Ferguson kept faith in more experienced options, allowing the Frenchman to abscond to Juve to become a superstar.
The Red Devils will want to make a statement of intent in the coming weeks, and the capture of Pogba would send shockwaves around the game as United battle to be kings of England once more.
