Manchester United Transfer News: Paul Pogba's Mother Key to Move, Latest Rumours
Manchester United will reportedly have to convince Paul Pogba's mother that a transfer back to the club is right for her son, amid ongoing rumours the Red Devils and Real Madrid are battling for the Frenchman's signature.
Mike Keegan, Ian Ladyman and Pete Jenson of the Daily Mail noted the midfielder's mother was previously unhappy with the club's treatment of her son. However, in the same story it is reported Los Blancos president Florentino Perez could be an "unlikely ally" for the Premier League club.

Perez reportedly "remains unconvinced" by the Juventus general and doesn't want to fork out a substantial fee for the player, while United will have no problem splurging on his signature. Even so, the report suggests the Real chief could look to land Pogba if he leads France to Euro 2016 glory.
The Telegraph's Jason Burt provided further information on Real's stance, with the Spaniards reportedly unwilling to pay more than £60 million for the player:
The Red Devils have already recruited Zlatan Ibrahimovic, represented by superagent Mino Raiola, who also has Pogba among his raft of star clients. Gianluca Di Marzio reported Henrikh Mkhitaryan, also a client of Raiola, is close to signing for the English giants, too (h/t Daily Star's Jonathan Green).
Fabrizio Romano of the Guardian reported just how much money United might be expected to invest if they're hoping to sign Pogba in a deal that could break the world transfer record:
According to the aforementioned Daily Mail report, United "have no issues" splashing around £80 million on the man they let leave for nothing four years ago, and new manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly desperate to land the player.
The France international has evolved greatly since his days in the Red Devils academy, and Squawka's Greg Johnson recently praised the less appreciated aspects of his game:
Perez isn't thought to rate Pogba highly, but it's mentioned the Real president's position on the player could be altered if he can help France win the European Championship, with Les Bleus set to face Germany in Thursday's semi-final.
Los Merengues' hesitation in the deal could give United the opportunity they need to complete a move first.
It also helps Mourinho that Perez isn't thought to be a fan of Raiola, either, and United's recent dealings with the agent promise to only have a positive impact on their Pogba hopes.
The Daily Mail mentioned Real could make room for Pogba, however, if they decide to sell Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Isco this summer.
