Pro Football Hall of Fame to Use Holograms in New Film Exhibit

Laura DeptaJul 2, 2016

The future is here, and football fans can get a taste of it at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, this summer.

The Hall will debut a new type of exhibit featuring holograms to simulate a real-life football locker room. NFL legends Joe Namath, Vince Lombardi and George Halas will be represented, among others.

Titled "A Game For Life," the experience will enable visitors to learn about the odds of making it to the Hall of Fame and hear stories from virtual Hall of Famers.

Namath will serve as the holographic emcee of sorts, but the real-life former New York Jets quarterback said, ''I think it gives the fans a real sense of being in a locker room atmosphere and how we convey some things to one another as players, coaches and as former players,'' per the Associated Press (via the Score).

Cary Granat, CEO of Immersive Artistry—the company behind the exhibit—added: "People will come out of this thing mesmerized."
