Mirza Teletovic Reportedly to Sign with Bucks: Contract Details, Reaction

The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly landed free-agent forward Mirza Teletovic on Friday in a deal that's worth $30 million over three seasons, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel provided confirmation of the report.

Teletovic has spent the past four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns, mainly coming off the bench.

He has started only 12 games throughout his time in the league, but he's carved his niche as a 6'9" forward who can stretch the floor and add a threat from distance.

The 30-year-old has a career three-point shooting percentage of 37.5 percent, but his one season with the Suns in 2015-16 yielded his finest campaign in the NBA:

He also had a true shooting percentage at 57.1, which according to Bleacher Report'sAndy Bailey was ranked sixth in the league.

However, the figures of his contract are head-scratching for Legion Hoops, who compared his deal to a more prolific forward:

But Teletovic's acquisition will add depth to Milwaukee's frontcourt behind the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker.

Neither player broke the 28 percent plateau from three-point range last season, so nabbing a player like Teletovic will add a different kind of scoring dimension for Milwaukee's big men while opening up space for Khris Middleton to slash to the basket.

While it isn't a huge signing in terms of star power, the Bucks got a player who can provide valuable minutes off the bench and can find ways to put the ball in the basket. That can only help in an Eastern Conference that is up for grabs behind the Cleveland Cavaliers
