Jerry Lawler, Fiancee Have Charges from Domestic Violence Arrest Dropped

Domestic assault charges against WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler and fiancee Lauryn McBride stemming from a June 17 incident were dropped Friday.

WMC Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee, broke the news regarding the dismissal of the charges.

According to Ian Silver of WMC Action News 5, Lawler and McBride accused each other of assault. Lawler alleged his fiancee had been drinking, and McBride alleged that Lawler presented her with a gun and said "go ahead and kill yourself."

A judge subsequently ordered Lawler and McBride to stay away from one another.

WWE announced following Lawler's arrest that he was suspended indefinitely, but has since lifted the ban following the dismissal of the charges. 

“Jerry Lawler’s legal matter has been resolved and his suspension has been lifted, effective immediately," WWE said in a statement via ProWrestling.net.

Lawler had been part of the SmackDown announce team along with Mauro Ranallo and Byron Saxton, but he has been replaced by David Otunga in recent weeks.
