Daniel Sturridge Puts Fragrance on His Kit Before Games so He Smells Nice
All sorts of excuses are being made for England's poor performances at Euro 2016, but there are no excuses for bad hygiene.
England and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is clearly one who likes to "stay fresh" during a game and has revealed in an interview with GQ (h/t Sky Sports) that he sprays fragrance on his kit before matches.
He said: "People might think it's strange, but I like smelling it, so it's not about what anyone else thinks. Fragrance probably shows people who you are as much as your clothes do."

Our only concern is that if he is smelling so damn good, then defenders might have extra motivation to mark him closely.
Sturridge also revealed he is partial to a bit of strawberry moisturiser.
When asked for the one luxury product he could not live without, the striker said:
"Totally honest, I'd say moisturiser. I really like the Body Shop one—strawberry. I just don't like my body being dry. I need my skin to feel smooth and moisturised."
England and Liverpool fans will be hoping he starts emitting the sweet smell of success in the near future.
