
Swimming 2016 Olympic Trials: Thursday Live Results and Analysis
Some dreams were made and others were shattered in Day 5 of the U.S. Olympic swimming trials.
Josh Prenot and Kevin Cordes earned their spot in Rio after finishing in first and second in the men's 200-meter breaststroke. Cammile Adams and Hali Flickinger earn their spots through the women's 200-meter butterfly, while Nathan Adrian and Caeleb Dressel finished 1-2 in the men's 100-meter freestyle.
These competitors not only are headed to the Olympics this summer, many of them have a chance to medal there.
Meanwhile, the semifinals set up some interesting battles on Day 6, although none bigger than the 200-meter individual medley showdown between Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. Fans will likely be on their seats watching to two superstars battle, even though the event sends two competitors to Brazil.
There are only three more days of action from Omaha, so make sure to catch these intense events while you can.
