Marcus Rashford Says 'The Journey' on 'FIFA 17' Reminds Him of His Own Career
If you're still struggling to come to terms with the incredible rise of Marcus Rashford this season, you're not alone—even the man himself thinks it's like something out of a video game.
The striker began the season with Manchester United's youth team before bursting to life under Louis van Gaal and spending his summer at Euro 2016 with England.

And the 18-year-old concedes that his rise to stardom reminds him of the new "The Journey" mode in FIFA 17, the trailer for which follows the emergence of fictional Red Devils star by the name of Alex Hunter:
"I actually can’t believe how accurate it is—watching Alex, it reminds me of my journey," Rashford told the Mirror's Aaron Flanagan. "It definitely reminds me of my experience. When you see Alex go into the manager’s office, you don’t know what he’s going to say or what it’s going to be like, so it brings back memories."
Rashford scored on his Europa League and Premier League debuts and completed an incredible treble by netting in his first game for his country in a 2-1 win over Australia last month.
But despite currently preparing for a round-of-16 clash with Iceland on Monday, Rashford said he's keeping his feet firmly on the ground and not getting ahead of himself.
"You see Alex at home with his grandparents, his mum and his dad and that’s what it's like. Sometimes when you're down you need them to pick you back up, and sometimes when you're up you need them to help keep your feet on the ground. So it's what it's like in real life."
