Sporting World Reacts to Brexit in EU Referendum
The European Union referendum is in the books, and Great Britain has voted to leave.
Such an issue got the world of sport talking, and Twitter was awash with messages on the decision to say goodbye to the EU.
From Gary Lineker on Nigel Farage to Michael Jordan's crying meme, it seems anyone and anything was fair game:
"If the EU Referendum vote was done via Twitter.. pic.twitter.com/JP6ivKs8n8

""There's been a goal in the Leave vs Remain game, Ed, what happened!?"
— Russell (@RussellSFC) June 23, 2016"
"Unbelievable Jeff!" pic.twitter.com/hBWQIqC1VR
And then there was the Twitter post that Tottenham Hotspur had to delete...

Several current and ex-professionals also made their feelings known in a more serious fashion.
"With #Brexit and the way the US presidential race is going.... Can we take a mulligan on 2016??
— Rory McIlroy (@McIlroyRory) June 24, 2016"
