
Davone Bess Arrested: Latest Details Surrounding Former NFL Player
Former NFL wide receiver Davone Bess was arrested early Monday morning in Gilbert, Arizona, and he is facing three charges after a lengthy standoff.
According to Danielle Quijada of the Arizona Republic, the 30-year-old former Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns wideout barricaded himself in his car and then in his home after refusing to submit to a traffic stop.
Police entered his home and arrested him after obtaining a warrant, and he is suspected of endangerment, felony flight and failure to stop for a police officer.

According to TMZ, Bess held a knife to his throat and a K9 unit was needed to get him in custody.
Bess previously had a run-in with the law in 2014, as he was arrested at Fort Lauderdale International Airport after allegedly being combative with and spilling coffee on a TSA officer.
The former University of Hawaii standout was released by the Browns in 2014 following that incident and was previously placed on the non-football illness list due to emotional distress.
The Hayward, California, native spent six seasons in the NFL after going undrafted in 2008, and he has not appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 campaign.
