Lions Mistakenly Wish Linebacker Kyle Van Noy a Happy Birthday 3 Months Too Late

The Detroit Lions had the right intentions when they wished linebacker Kyle Van Noy a happy birthday Sunday. Unfortunately, they didn't have their facts straight.

Van Noy's birthday is March 26. If you looked at the calendar Sunday, you saw the date was June 19.

Just about three months late. Oops.

Well, Van Noy noticed his team's tweet and had some fun with it:

Rather than delete the tweet, the Lions corrected themselves:

Sometimes you just have to laugh at your mistakes. And Van Noy still appreciated the birthday wishes, even if it wasn't his actual birthday:

Perhaps the Lions should try to schedule a tweet for March 26, 2017, to make sure they wish him a happy birthday on the right date next year.
