Andrea Pirlo finally opened his MLS goalscoring account on Saturday with a trademark free-kick in New York City FC's 3-2 win at home over the Philadelphia Union.
The Italian's fellow designated players Frank Lampard and David Villa had given New York a 2-0 half-time lead before Pirlo made the game safe with a pinpoint strike five minutes into the second half.
