Darijo Srna in Tears During Croatia National Anthem Following Father's Funeral

Darijo Srna was in tears during the Croatian national anthem ahead of his nation's clash with the Czech Republic on Friday. 

It was a particularly emotive occasion for the Croatia captain, whose father passed away during Croatia's 1-0 win over Turkey on Sunday. 

Srna went home to attend the funeral but made the decision to return to France to represent his country in their second group-stage game. 

"It is a very difficult moment for me and my family, and after talking to them, I decided to return to France," he said in a news conference on Thursday.
