NBA Finals Betting: Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game 6 Odds

OddsShark.comJun 15, 2016

After the Golden State Warriors saw the best performances from their top two scorers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers got 41 points apiece from LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Game 5 to avoid elimination.

The Cavaliers are listed as two-point home favorites for Game 6 on Thursday at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark and hope to avoid seeing the Warriors celebrate winning the title at Quicken Loans Arena for the second straight year.

Playing without suspended power forward Draymond Green, the Golden State defense was not nearly the same Monday in a 112-97 loss at Oracle Arena. The team blew an opportunity to clinch the championship on its home court but could get another chance to do that with a loss in Game 6 at Cleveland.

The Warriors would like to avoid that scenario, though, as the pressure in a potential Game 7 would be enormous.

The Cavs will have to contend with Green again here following his one-game suspension, although they will have a lot more confidence after seeing how James and Irving both stepped up when they needed it the most.

James also grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds in the victory, while Irving made 17 of 24 shots from the field, including five of seven from three-point range. Cleveland overcame a series-high 37 points from Golden State’s Klay Thompson and outscored its opponent 51-36 in the second half.

Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry made just eight of 21 shots and finished with 25 points for the Warriors in Game 5 following his series-best 38-point effort in Game 4.

Curry has hit 12 three-pointers on 28 attempts (42.9 percent) in the last two games combined after making 10 of 25 (40 percent) in the first three. In last year’s clinching Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Cavs, he scored 25, while Andre Iguodala added 25.

Iguodala won the 2015 NBA Finals MVP mainly for his defensive work on James, entering the starting lineup in Game 4 after a 96-91 loss in Game 3 put the team in a 2-1 series deficit. Iguodala started for Green in Game 5 and had 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, and he could replace injured center Andrew Bogut, whom the team has ruled out for the remainder of the series, in Game 6.

Golden State is 8-2 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in the past 10 meetings with Cleveland, according to the Odds Shark NBA database, including 4-1 SU and ATS on the road.
