Here's a lesson in how not to defend against one of the premier midfielders in world football.

Turkey were undone by a moment of brilliance on Sunday, as Luka Modric's glorious first-half strike settled their opening Euro 2016 encounter in Group D.

Unsurprisingly, TV networks were quick to pick apart the Real Madrid star's winner.

One picked up on the fact that as the loose ball fell to the Croatian, Fenerbahce's Ozan Tufan was more interested in fixing his hair than closing him down.

Admittedly, he still might not have been able to change the outcome, but a warning to fellow defenders at the showpiece in France: The cameras are always watching!
