49ers WR Torrey Smith Participates in MCW Wrestling Event
Wide receiver Torrey Smith left the Baltimore Ravens for the San Francisco 49ers last offseason, but he once again made his presence felt in the state of Maryland Friday night by taking part in a Maryland Championship Wrestling event in Baltimore.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, the 27-year-old wideout got physically involved in a match, helping former WWE Superstar Damien Sandow, Colt Cabana, The Bruiser and Johnny Crabcakes beat The Kings in an eight-man tag team match.
Satin (h/t TMZ Sports) provided video of Smith beating down manager Justin Schiegel during the show:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Smith did leave the Ravens, he remains a popular figure in the state of Maryland. He was a huge contributing factor in Baltimore's last Super Bowl victory, and he attended the University of Maryland prior to being selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft.
Smith seemingly garnered a positive reaction when he helped the babyface quartet fight off the heel manager, which suggests he could have a future in pro wrestling.
Although this past season was Smith's worst as an NFL player with just 33 receptions for 663 yards and four touchdowns, he still has a long football career ahead of him.
Much like so many football players-turned-wrestlers before him, though, Smith has enough athleticism and name recognition to carry his star power over to the squared circle at some point down the line.
