Barcelona Transfer News: Aleix Vidal Targets Exit Amid Serie A Talk, Top Rumours
Barcelona misfit Aleix Vidal has reportedly informed the club he wants to leave the Camp Nou this summer, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Fiorentina thought to be interested. However, the Spaniards have been knocked back in their approach for Everton's John Stones.
Italian outlet Calciomercato cited reports in Spain that said Vidal wants out of the Catalan club, and agent Graziano Battistini was quoted with his take on reported interest from Serie A's giants:
"I think there are few [chances of him moving], as I don't think that Barcelona want to sell him. With Dani Alves gone, they have his natural successor already in-house, and they also have to prove that they were right to invest in him last summer.
"
That's the situation at the moment, as we know things can change very quickly in football.

When quizzed on Vidal's chances of a return to former club Sevilla, Battistini added: "I am responsible for moves to Italy, I doubt it'll happen, however."
It's true Barca may be in a race to replenish their options at right-back with Alves set to depart the club, and Tom Coast of Sport Witness has reported it will be Vidal who is handed the reins in the first team:
Fiorentina are also mentioned in Calciomercato's report as being interested in Vidal, who moved to the Camp Nou last summer but was prevented from registering for Barcelona until January 2016 due to the club's transfer ban.
The versatile right-sided player was expected to play a more prominent role at the club than he has in recent months, and Spanish football blogger Rafael Hernandez has said Vidal is firmly on the fringes:
"I’m fond of Aleix Vidal, but Lucho has problems with him, Tah, Marquinhos and Florenzi would be good RB options for Barça.

While Calciomercato mentioned Vidal is valued at around €12 million (£9.4 million), however, Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo (h/t the Sun's Duncan Wright) previously reported Barca will only let the player leave if his £45 million release clause is triggered.
The mixed signals mean the likes of Milan and Inter may yet face a fight to land their man, although after playing just 538 minutes in La Liga last term, Vidal is understandably frustrated at Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the Blaugrana have suffered a setback in their hunt for England star Stones after he rejected a £90,000-a-week offer to move to the Camp Nou amid interest from Manchester City.
That's according to Pete Jenson of the Daily Mail, who added the centre-back's agent, Paul Martin, met with Barca last week before dismissing their offer.
BBC Sport recently compared Stones' 2015-16 statistics alongside those of Barca counterpart Gerard Pique:
Stones was linked with a Goodison Park exit last summer but went on to endure a disappointing campaign with the Toffees, encouraging talk that the Merseysiders could sell the former Barnsley starlet this summer.
According to Jenson, incoming Citizens manager Pep Guardiola is eager to sign Stones and will even push ahead to pen his services even if he lands Athletic Club Bilbao sensation Aymeric Laporte as well.
