Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was dabbing all over NFL football fields during his MVP campaign last year, but don't expect that trend to continue this coming season.

The "Dab" is out—to make room for something else.

On Thursday morning, Newton went on The Mac Attack show on Charlotte's The Fan 610 AM and broke the news that he will be changing up his celebrations in 2016-17:

Long live the Dab.

On a related note, the Panthers' farewell tweet led to a fun interaction:

Given how great Newton was last season, it would have been understandable if he didn't make any changes to his game or his celebrations. But because the Dab is just a trend, the Panthers star is willing to move on and come up with new ways to annoy opposing fans.
