The Wyatt Family's Best Booking Options Upon Return to WWE Programming

Aaron BowerJun 8, 2016

It's well recited that a picture speaks a thousand words, but Bray Wyatt's tweets can often leave you with enough dialogue and context to fill a short novel.

Wyatt's absence from WWE due to injury has been a real blow for the company in the last couple of months, as there is nobody quite like him on the roster. But when he and The Wyatt Family do return, what are their best booking options?

He still retains a menacing presence despite some pretty inconsistent booking in the last few years, but ahead of his return in the coming weeks, Wyatt offered up a real teaser for what lies ahead:

The next episode of Raw, the go-home show before the annual Money in the Bank pay-per-view, is of course planned to be hosted in New Orleans. Does that mean we'll get to see Bray to give the MITB promotion one last major push?

It certainly seems that way, especially with F4WOnline.com (h/t Wrestle Zone's Nick Paglino) hinting that Wyatt will be back on our screens on June 13.

Throw in the fact that the picture attached to the tweet shows Wyatt with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder and his bio picture shows him sitting under a ladder, and you can begin to piece together some not-so-cryptic imagery pointing to Wyatt joining the six men already in the Money in the Bank match.

And in all eventuality, that is without doubt the best booking option for Bray right now.

Money in the Bank is a show that immediately ties up a host of top talent in one match, and with guys like John Cena and Roman Reigns already set for feuds of their own over the next couple of months, it makes perfect booking sense to throw Bray into the mix here.

With Luke Harper still injured, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman will provide the support for Bray in his quest to claim the coveted briefcase. When you weigh up the service Bray has given to WWE in recent years, there is a compelling argument to have him emerge as the winner.

A similar case could be made for guys like Dean Ambrose so that he could go on and make a dream match with Reigns and Rollins, for example.

Kevin Owens is another who looks ready to take the next step and become a world champion in WWE.

But in Wyatt, you have a ready-made champion who has the support of fans and a stable behind him that, if placed at the top of the company, could wreak untold havoc.

If he doesn't win, what else does The Wyatt Family have on the table in terms of booking options? Well, another option which was teased before Wyatt's injury was a potential program with Triple H and, to a lesser extent, The Authority.

That would naturally involve one of them becoming more of a babyface, but when a confrontation between the two was teased during Triple H's run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the reaction from fans in attendance was one that suggested it's a feud which definitely has potential.

The brand split and Shane McMahon's return to TV have undoubtedly meant a change in approach for WWE's on-screen leadership, but if Triple H could return alongside Stephanie McMahon to run Raw and The Authority were resurrected, it would make plenty of sense.

And what about a feud with another guy who's currently away from WWE TV?

Brock Lesnar has been in the news lately due to the announcement of his fight at UFC 200, but WWE was insistent that Lesnar is returning to the company to work a SummerSlam program.

Lesnar vs. Wyatt is another angle that has been teased in the past, and it looked like it was definitely going to happen at WrestleMania.

With The Wyatt Family helping Bray to take down The Beast and do the unthinkable, it's a rivalry that would give Bray a whole heap of momentum heading into the latter part of 2016.

If it was booked properly and given the time to run for a good couple of months, it could just turn out to be the best angle of the lot.
