Manchester United Transfer News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic Delay Expected, Top Rumours
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s move to Manchester United will not be confirmed until July due to a stipulation in his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.
Jeremy Cross of the Daily Star noted the 34-year-old will be entitled to a loyalty bonus of £4 million should he remain a PSG player until the very end of his deal, which is set to expire on June 30. It means United fans will have to wait a little longer before they see the Sweden international officially become a United player.
According to Cross, Ibrahimovic has agreed to move to United already and will sign a one-year contract that’ll see him pick up £275,000-a-week. There is also said to be a one-year option the club could activate.

Having established himself as one of Europe’s most feared forwards down the years, it’s a transfer those who frequent Old Trafford are excited about. Here is a reminder of why:
As these numbers from OptaJoe illustrate, last season was arguably the very best of the veteran’s superb career:
The Swede has never been a player reliant on speed or dynamism, and, as such, his other attributes have allowed him to remain at the summit of the sport for so long.
Indeed, the former Barcelona man is still strong, has wonderful technical ability and is a stunning striker of the ball, meaning he can score all different types of goals. Additionally, he’ll be an invigorating figure for everyone at the club, including the supporters and the younger members of this United squad.

Ibrahimovic is a serial winner, too. This graphic from BreatheSport shows just how effective he can be for teams chasing their respective domestic title:

For a lot of supporters the saga will be growing tiresome and whispers of another delay will be frustrating. But United fans will be keeping a keen eye on a Sweden team spearheaded by Ibrahimovic at this summer’s UEFA European Championships and will be hoping he’s well worth what has been a long wait.
United in Hunt for Leandrinho

According to the agent of Leandrinho, a 17-year-old sensation currently playing for Ponte Preta, Manchester United are one of many clubs seeking to land the youngster.
The Brazilian striker is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in the country and speaking to Radio CRC (h/t calciomercato), his representative confirmed that while they favour a move to Napoli, there are a lot of other teams in the hunt:
"I’m doing everything possible to bring the player to Napoli, but lot of clubs are chasing him. He has never been to Castelvolturno to get a trial with the club, his uncle went to there, but he also went to Barcelona and Manchester before.
Both Manchester clubs want to sign him and Real Madrid had sounded out on his availability in the past. He is only 17 but he has the personality of a great footballer. I am trying to bring him to Naples. I want to convince his family. English clubs offer lot of money, but Napoli have a project.
"
Here is a look at the kind of quality that has got plenty excited about the Ponte Preta starlet, who has scored eight goals in nine games for the Selecao’s under-17 team:
The Red Devils have some exceptional young forwards on their books already in the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, although it doesn’t appear to have stopped them taking a look at Leandrinho. However, the Brazilian isn't quite as far along in his development compared to the duo.
At this stage in the player’s career a jump to a team like United, Real Madrid or Barcelona may prove to be too big, however.
