Brazil dominated in their sole pre-tournament match, crushing Panama in a 2-0 win, and have now recorded back-to-back clean sheets.
However, the club has turned in some suspect performances in recent outings, allowing two goals each in a pair of draws against Paraguay and Uruguay during 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying back in March, dropping them to sixth place in the qualification table.
Brazil also faces the added pressure that comes with limited success at international tournaments in recent years, last claiming a Copa America crown back in 2007.
Despite those challenges, Brazil was listed near the top of the Copa America Centenario futures, trailing only favorite Argentina on those betting lines at the outset of the event.
Haiti has a mountain to climb, as they take on Brazil as huge +2200 underdogs.
It has been a tough year for Les Grenadiers, losers of three straight and five of their past seven, including a disappointing 1-0 loss to Peru in their first-ever Copa America match on Saturday.
Colombia also beat up the Haitians in a 3-1 loss to in pre-tournament action, and they were heartbroken after coming away with just one point in a pair of World Cup qualifiers against Panama in March.
Haiti will need to dig deep to find the offense that enabled them to score nine total goals in three matches in September and October; they entered the tournament as distant +50000 long shots.
Haiti has beaten Brazil just once all-time, a 4-3 win over Brazil's U20 squad in the 1999 Caribbean Cup.
