Chyna, whose birth name was Joanie Laurer, was found dead on April 20 at the age of 46. Her manager, Anthony Anzaldo, told the Associated Press (via USA Today) on April 28 that her death was the result of an accidental overdose of a prescription sleeping pill and a tranquilizer.
Several of Chyna's former WWE colleagues offered their condolences on Twitter after her death, including Triple H and Stephanie McMahon:
She arrived on the scene in 1997, debuting as an enforcer alongside Triple H in WWE, and later she was one part of the original D-Generation X group that also included Shawn Michaels. Her biggest in-ring accomplishment was being the first woman in WWE history to win the Intercontinental title.
During Chyna's four-year run in WWE from 1997-2001, she won the Intercontinental title three times and the Women's Championship once at WrestleMania X-Seven.
