NFL Twitter Hacked, Internet Hilarity Ensues

The NFL has seen its share of Twitter hacking issues lately, but on Tuesday, the league itself fell victim. 

Several tweets appeared on the NFL's official Twitter account suggesting NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had died:

The tweets were eventually deleted, and ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that Goodell is, in fact, very much alive:

Still, as is customary in these situations, the internet had a lot of fun with this. Those with allegiances to the New England Patriots emerged as primary "suspects":
