Kirkpatrick Important Piece of Bengals Pass Defense
Through three games this season, Kirkpatrick has registered five tackles and one interception.
The Bengals selected Kirkpatrick with the 17th overall pick in 2012, but he only became a full-time starter last year. Any missed time with this setback would cost him a chance to further develop at the position as Cincinnati strives to make the playoffs for the sixth season in a row.
Kirkpatrick has been fairly durable for the Bengals and appeared in all 16 games in each of the last two seasons. He had six total interceptions (two of which he returned for touchdowns) in 2013 and 2014 but did not tally a pick in 2015.
