Dion Waiters Reportedly Agrees to 1-Year Contract with Miami Heat

Dion Waiters moved on after the Oklahoma City Thunder rescinded their qualifying offer on July 18, reportedly agreeing to a one-year contract worth $2.9 million with the Miami Heat.
John Krawczynski and Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reported the news. On July 8, Reynolds reported that Waiters had expressed interest in joining the Heat.
In 78 regular-season games for Oklahoma City in 2015-16, Waiters averaged 9.8 points on 39.9 percent shooting, including 35.8 percent on three-pointers. According to NBA.com, the Thunder were seven points better per 100 possessions when he was off the court.
