Our Favorite New Social Media Follows

Laura DeptaJun 2, 2016

Richard Jefferson is absolutely masterful on Snapchat, especially if you're into candid shots of LeBron James.

No matter what you're into, however—hilarious videos, beautiful scenery or random elephants—there is a sports social media account for you.

Here are a few favorites you might not be following yet. (If you are, carry on.) Enjoy.

Antonio Brown, Snapchat

ab84official

If you're on Snapchat for fitness motivation, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is your man. He's got inspirational quotes, and his workout videos will make you want to hit the gym immediately:

Rob Gronkowski, Instagram

@gronk

Rob Gronkowski was late to the Instagram party, but he was worth the wait. In the few short months since he joined, the New England Patriots tight end has posted photos of Odell Beckham, Jr. in a onesie, his 6'6" self going down a kiddie playground slide and Tom Brady with a conch shell.

The beauty of Gronk on social media is the same as Gronk in life—you just never know what he's going to do:

Rickie Fowler, Snapchat

rickiefowler15

Rickie Fowler lets fans live his boss life vicariously through Snapchat. Particularly bro-tastic were his snaps from a Bahamas vacation with fellow golfers Smylie Kaufman, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth:

Not to worry, though—the Snapchat randomness continued even after the vacation:

Simone Biles, Instagram

Time to start gearing up on Olympic follows. If you don't know much about Simone Biles, you will. The 19-year-old American gymnast is expected to make a huge splash in Rio, and her Instagram is just joyful—full of happy faces, training photos and shots of Team USA teammates, including Gabby Douglas:

Annie Apple, Twitter

Eli Apple's mom is the new Draymond Green's mom on Twitter.

Annie Apple rose to sports fame around the NFL draft, during which the New York Giants selected her son Eli at No. 10 overall.

Apple later revealed in a piece for Sports Illustrated she wouldn't allow her son to wear a Rolex watch to the draft because, at the time, he was an "unemployed college dropout."

Her hilarious honesty carries over on Twitter:

Jose Mourinho, Instagram

Jose Mourinho took his new gig as manager of Manchester United as an opportunity to join Instagram. Just six photos in, it looks he's off to a good start:

Given the sheer size of Mourinho's personality, it's probably reasonable to predict his social media will be worth a follow.

Yasiel Puig, Snapchat

DiegoPuig66

In case you didn't know, all of Yasiel Puig's social media channels are worth following. His #PuigYourFriend megaburn on new L.A. Rams quarterback Jared Goff was legendary:

And remember that time he was terrified of thunder?

Is it any surprise his Snapchat is equally random and delightful? Get on it.

Kate Courtney, Instagram

Kate Courtney is an elite mountain biker and 2016 Olympic hopeful. Follow her on Instagram mainly because mountain biking is dope, and also because her feed is full of gorgeous scenery and boss adventure shots:

Nico Rosberg, Instagram

Are you into race cars, exotic travel destinations and looking suave as hell? Then Nico Rosberg's Instagram is for you. The German-Finnish Formula One driver isn't exactly new to social media, but casual sports fans might simply be new to following him:

Rosberg finished second to his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the 2014 and 2015 F1 World Championship, but his Insta game is a step above.

Richard Jefferson, Snapchat

Rjeff24

Sports-savvy Snapchatters are likely already following Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (YoungWhiteside), but what about Cleveland Cavaliers forward Richard Jefferson?

Just in time for the NBA Finals, check him out for the inside track on the Cavs' travel, LeBron James' pregame rituals and more candid encounters with teammates. It's hilarious:

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Snapchat

Arnoldschnitzel

Who knew Arnold Schwarzenegger would be such a good Snapchat follow? His adventures are as delightful as they are random and include bicycling through Munich, feeding ostriches and going all fanboy on Miley Cyrus. This "Get to the chopper!" snap alone is worth it:

Oh, he also shared this African "elephant encounter" on YouTube (NSFW):

Fantastic.
