Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is among the biggest movie stars in the world and most popular WWE Superstars of all time, but the 44-year-old hasn't ruled out taking on yet another challenge: politics.

In an interview with British GQ, The Rock admitted that running for political office—perhaps even president—is something he may consider moving forward:

I'll be honest, I haven't ruled politics out. I'm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can't deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people's lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.

If the Fast and the Furious star does eventually get involved in politics, he'll be far from the first to make the leap from Hollywood.

President Ronald Reagan was an actor, while former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was an action hero prior to taking office much like Johnson.

Politics aren't foreign to wrestlers either, with former Minnesota Gov. Jesse "The Body" Ventura serving as the chief example.

Donald Trump's rise as a presidential candidate has proved that voters are willing to embrace those who come from outside the political establishment, and The Rock undoubtedly applies.

Johnson is a renaissance man who has excelled in many different fields over the course of his life, and politics could be another addition to that long list.

If nothing else, the former 10-time WWE world champion would make for must-see television on the debate stage as arguably the greatest talker to ever step foot in a wrestling ring.
