Golfer Tony Finau Hits Fan with Shot, Buys Her Flowers, Chocolate to Apologize

Their relationship may not have started off on the best note, but golfer Tony Finau earned himself a fan for life this weekend.

And it's all because of a kind gesture after an unfortunate accident.

At the Dean & DeLuca Invitational on Saturday, one of Finau's shots went awry and struck a fan in the head. As you can tell by the picture above, the ball did a pretty good number on the girl, who had to get stitches.

The 26-year-old golfer apologized to her in person—with flowers and chocolate:

Now that's a classy move.

The young lady will likely be feeling the errant shot for a bit, but Finau's kindness will go a long way toward helping her feel better soon. Plus, this makes for a fantastic story she will be able to tell for years to come.
