Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Mario Balotelli and Aleix Vidal Rumours
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli looks set to be on the move again, with Galatasaray interested in signing the troubled Italian, per the David Anderson of the Mirror.
The Italy international—left out of Antonio Conte's squad preliminary squad for the European Championship in France—spent the 2015-16 campaign on loan at former club AC Milan.
Italian football expert James Horncastle explained why the decision to overlook Balotelli should have been expected:

However, following another disappointing season with the Rossoneri, the 25-year-old is unlikely to be kept on at the Serie A club.
Per Telelombardia (h/t ESPN's Ben Gladwell), Milan president Silvio Berlusconi confirmed Balotelli will return to Merseyside after failing to earn a new contract at the San Siro, stating: "Balotelli's contract with us has expired and there are going to be many players leaving us. Players like Alex, [Philippe] Mexes, [Kevin-Prince] Boateng and Balotelli are all out of contract and there will be others released too.
A clause in his loan deal from Liverpool stated the Italian side were given the opportunity to purchase the 25-year-old at the end of the season but Balotelli's languid and lifeless performances have failed to convince the team hierarchy.
WhoScored.com detailed Balotelli's scoring drought on his return to Milan:
One goal in 20 league games—scored on his first appearance back in Milan colours against Udinese in September—is a disappointing return for a player previous hailed as "exceptional" by former Manchester City coach David Platt, per the Telegraph.
Per Anderson, Liverpool are eager to remove his £80,000-per-week salary from their wage budget ahead of Jurgen Klopp's first pre-season at the helm, with the Turkish club keen to bolster their attack.
The departure of Turkey international Burak Yilmaz to Chinese side Beijing Guoan in January has exposed a gap in the Gala front line which they are keen to fill in a bid to bounce back from Besiktas' Super Lig title.
Elsewhere, German boss Klopp wants to bring Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal to Anfield following a poor first season at Camp Nou, per Mundo Deportivo (h/t the Daily Express' James Gray).
The Barca full-back only joined the club last summer from Sevilla in a deal reportedly worth up to £17 million but has failed to make the grade under boss Luis Enrique, making just 14 appearances in all competitions, per WhoScored.com.

According to Mundo Deportivo, via Gray, Klopp is willing to offer the 26-year-old an escape route from Catalonia.
Per Ed Malyon of the Mirror, Brazil international Dani Alves is preparing to move to reigning Scudetto winners Juventus, meaning the Blaugrana will be left short-changed on the right of defence which could hinder a possible move away.
Yahoo's La Liga journalist Andrew Gaffney highlighted the issues Enrique will face if Alves' switch goes through:
Despite limited match action in 2015-16, Enrique believes Vidal to be the heir to Alves, per Gray. With this in mind, Klopp will be forced to shell out £45 million on the defender to match his release clause and prise him away from the Liga champions.
